ABOUT TAMARA

Tamara Doerksen is Chief of Staff, IT, with The Salvation Army’s Canada and Bermuda Territory, where she works at the intersection of technology, strategy, people and organizational effectiveness. She serves as a strategic connector across business and IT, supporting senior leadership, governance, organizational priorities, and the evolution of how a complex technology organization operates and makes decisions.

Tamara brings more than 30 years of leadership, consulting and technology experience across the private, public and nonprofit sectors. Earlier in her career, she led a global HR technology practice, overseeing a team of more than 40 professionals and the delivery of enterprise HR technology solutions for organizations around the world. She later held technology strategy and portfolio leadership roles with the City of Toronto, focused on governance, strategic planning, portfolio prioritization, performance, and executive decision support.

Across her career, Tamara has developed a particular interest in what happens when data and insight reach the leadership table: how organizations move beyond reporting to understand what the information is telling them about their people, priorities, and ability to execute — and how leaders can use those insights to make better decisions
